5G is the 5th and most recent generation of data speed. It allows you to connect to the internet at super fast speeds whilst out and about. It aims to deliver even faster speeds, lower latency, increased coverage, and greater efficiency.
Bear in mind that it’s still a new technology, and has only been available in the UK since May 2019. Rollout, coverage, and compatibility with 5G will only increase as time goes on.
5G can achieve download speeds 10 to 100 times faster than 4G. Depending on your location, you could see download speeds between 100Mbps and 150Mbps.
